Best Slugs

Always used a smooth bore and shot Remington slugger fairly accurate. Recently switched to a rifled barrel. Which slug is the most accurate out of a rifled barrel.

  You can also shoot rifled slugs through a rifled barrel. They are much, much cheaper than the saboted slugs. gotta try some different ones to see which your gun likes best, so to speak.

  This months field and stream had a good article about the new slugs being put out. They said a winchester slug was the best for a 20gauge. Cant remember its exact name but it was a .454 casul saboted.

  my 870 likes breneke heavy field magnum rifled slugs. god i need to find different ones thats a mouth full

  I shoot federal barnes expander slugs through my H&R 20 and just love them. A freind swears by lightfeilds, only thing with both is they are not cheap.

  Give the Lightfield Hybred sabots a try, I shoot them in my 870 with a Hastings barrel and have not missed yet,I have killed four deer this year with it and one last year,two deer I shot this morning the buck was a 185 pound 8 point that dropped where he stood after a 80 yd shot.These were 2 3/4 inch 1 1/4 oz slugs,they are just awesome, good luck...
