    there is another site called oldguns.net .on this site on the left hand side toward the bottom there is a place to date winchester firearms,type in the serial # and in 5 seconds they will date it for you,hope this helps

    I checked my books, and they put it at 1928. Books aew, by Madis, Riffle, and Blue Book Value of guns. this fall into the era of Nickel Steel and Stainless steel barrels. curious as to which one you have? Regards Dave
