beretta 390...3 shell capacity??

I bought the beretta 390 semi-auto, is it only a 3 shell capacity or does it hold more than that, if so a plug must be in it and how would i go about gettin that out, ive only had pumps before this so im not familier with semiautomatics

  The plug, if it has one in it, should remove the same way it would for a pump. Unscrew the fore end cap, remove the fore end and take out the top of the magazine tube and remove the plug.
