scope for 7.62 x 54r

Does anyone know where I can search for an inexpensive scope and rings for the 7.62 x 54r I bought last night? Also should I use the 203 grain bullets for Northern Michigan whitetails or look for something lighter?

  You probably don't need 203 grain bullets for deer, but I'd say bullet design is probably more important than grain weight.
  Inexpensive scopes? Well, I guess that'd depend on what inexpensive is to you... Simmons, BSA, Tasco and others make real inexpensive scopes. I've had good luck with several Simmons that I've had (I have a 2x7x32 that's held up perfectly against both 3" slugs and my .50 muzzleloader). On optics you get what you pay for and you can re-use them on different guns so if you get a better rifle later then you can just carry the scope forward. However, sometimes they'll get ring marks so depending on the distance between the rings it might have noticable marks later.

  inter ordiance had some sniper mocks ups made using old military rifle you may be able to get a scope from them

  The gun dealer I do most (99%) of my business with won't even CARRY BSA scopes because---in their words---they're "crap". A lower-end Bushnell, I think, would do fine. But some folks will tell you Bushnell has its problems too.
