Does anyone have a link to colt production dates by serial number?
im trying to date a python,cobra, detective special,and officers model special 22...Thanks

Sure....I do...You have one with the 'M' prefix..?..You can write me direct if you don't want to Post the Serial Numbers....I'll dig thru Wilson's Colt book for you.......

Lets See if I got this right..I gotta get New Glasses...or a New Dog and White Cane with Red Tip....Best....

1. Python Blue 6" [1967] Production Run started at 61000 and ended at 73800...Yours #731XX was made at the end of that run...

2. Cobra...H525XX...[1974]

3. Detective Special...77XXRL...[1978]..Shared Serial numbers with the Police Positive Special, from 1927.....

4. Officers Model Special...Production Run 61650 to 63049 for the [1951] production run...
