Do these use FAL mags are or do they take mags specifically for the L1A1?

  Real L1A1s take "inch" mags. Gun assembled from parts, especially from CAI tend to be mutts, so they may take inch or metric mags.....but that is a case by case issue.
  
  Quality builds and quality production rifles should be setup properly.

  I have an Enterprise Arms L1A1 and it uses metric(FAL) mags.

  An easy way to tell "inch" from "metric" FAL magazines is by looking at the front of the magazine.
  
  L1A1 or "inch" mag's have a large welded locking tab/lip, while the Metric" style mag.s have a simple pressed lip/lug.
