FOUND A INTERARMS MARK X .30-06 LEVER ACTION RIFLE W/ 10 POWER SCOPE ON IT FOR SALE IN MY LOCAL NEWSPAPER. I'VE NEVER OWNED A INTERARMS GUN BEFORE AND I REALLY DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEM. WHAT I NEED TO KNOW IS, ARE THEY A GOOD QUALITY GUN AND WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD PAY FOR IT? IT'S IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME OUT! THANKS

    The "Mark X" is a comercial M-98 Mauser clone (bolt action).
    Excelent rifle BTW, and either the paper screwed up or the owner dosn't know what kind of action they have.
    Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

    I JUST CALLED THE GUY WHO HAS THE GUN FOR SALE. HE INHERITED THEM FROM HIS UNCLE AND HE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT GUNS. HE THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A LEVER ACTION SO I ASKED HIM HOW IT CHAMBERS A ROUND OF AMMO. HE TOLD ME HE PULLS UP THE "LEVER" ON THE SIDE AND PULLS IT BACK. HE DIDN'T KNOW THAT ITS CALLED A BOLT ACTION. SO, IT IS A BOLT ACTION AFTER ALL. HE'S ASKING $250.00 FOR IT AND IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. SO, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THE PRICE? I'M GOING OVER TO SEE THE GUN TOMORROW.

    I don't think it's a bargain. What Make/model scope? Any accessories - sling, case, factory ammo - I don't think you'd want to shoot someone else's reloads, brass, dies....

    Any of that stuff would contribute to its' desirablity.

    Find out how the seller came up with the price.

    THE SELLER SAID THE SCOPE IS A SIMMONS 8 POINT. IV'E GOT ONE ON MY MINI 14 AND IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, I PAID ABOUT $60.00 FOR IT. THE ONLY OTHER THING THAT COMES WITH IT IS A LEATHER SLING.

    Book on a 95% shows $265. If it was one of the Whitworth (Birmingham, England) guns a little premium. Good guns and made well.

    If the gun is nice and you like it $250 is a fair price. I don't see any problem with reselling it and getting your money back, if you don't like it. I just sold a nice one with a Mannlicher stock, no scope but leupold rings and mount for $375.00. This was to a dealer at a gun show this weekend. If this one is a Mannlicher, you better jump all over it for that price.
