Savage/Stevens Favorite, single-shot rimfires

Can anyone tell me if the 'new' Savage/Stevens Favorite models have the same takedown capability as the old models? Are they set up for scope mounting. Are there any differences between calibers except for the barrel? ANY help will be greatly appreciated!

I own one, and it has no takedown feature. It is fun to shoot and fairly accurate. It was not set up for a scope, but I had a scope rail installed and use a Bushnell 4 power scope.

Funny you should ask, I just bought one last Wednesday. Savage model 30. I don't have it yet (damned 10 day Kalifornia waiting period) but it didn't have scope rails & it doesn't take down.
The store had it marked down from $175 to $100 (New in box) so I bought it even though I have no real use for it. Just can't pass up a bargain.0 -
The new versions are a crude reproduction of a cheap gun to start with. That said, the old ones are very neat, the new ones could be a little better, but are neat in their own way. If my dealer would get off that $175 I'd have one, and I wouldn't even blink if one was $100. 0
