Anybody Seen A "2003"-"MX" Browning 9mm Hi-Power?
Okay,
I have a 245 series 2000 year of Mfg. "MM" year code 9mm Hi-Power, also a 511 series 2000 year of Mfg. "MM" year code 9mm Hi-Power
Both these made in Belgium and assembled in Portugal.
If I'm correct, there were no 2001 year of Mfg. "MZ" year code imported with the Browning name.
I have a 511 series 2001 year of Mfg. "MZ" year code 9mm Hi-Power of FN Mfg. (Herstal), in both standard and compact.
Today I acquired a 2002 year of Mfg. "MY" year code 9mm Hi-Power, made in Belgium and assembled in Portugal.
QUESTION: Has anybody seen or do they own a Made In Belgium and assembled in Portugal-2003 year of Mfg. "MX" year code 9mm Hi-Power or are the only current Hi-Powers available the FNMI (No Browning Logo)imported by FNMI of Columbia, SC?
ALSO, has anybody else noticed (I didn't until today) the change/addition of the angular slant (with caliber designation) on the barrel, ie. the portion that appears in the ejection port on the 2001 and 2002 models? Musta thought after 66 years, that the barrel needed a "change" in looks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been trying to get a "handle" on whether Browning is trying to be "Politically Correct" and not market any "Center Fire" pistols; since they no longer show them in their catalog or on the web page!
