alloy framed 9mm's and MILSPEC plus p rounds

as most will remember, my sig226 cracked a frame after (oh by the way) it cant shoot milspec ammo for very long w/o cracking. go figure...1/2 of SPECOPS is issued these things, for the record! so, i got all this milspec ammo i bought at a gun show and no gun to shoot it out of! does this mean ALL these alloy framed guns cant fire milspec ammo or plus p type ammo w/o cracking guns? are there any solid steel framed 9mm's left out there? thanks in advance.

    How about a P226ST? There are a number of 9mm 1911s (SA and Kimber)--I would think that some might be made in stainless.

    FWIW, I would shoot +Ps on an as needed basis. Use regular target loads for most practice.

    I have shot maybe 10,000 rounds of MilSpec & +P ammo through my Taurus Model 92AF (Aluminum Frame), with not a hickup. Altogether, the weapon has maybe 30,000 rounds through it, with only a broken extractor/ejector. Still groups nice, also.

    I kinda like them Brazilians.

    thanks dheff...i knew there had to be a scientific reason it went south. of course...springs and buffer. see what happens when you retire and lose the edge? any suggestions on spring wt. for 9mm plus p/milspec winchester and tzz rounds in a sig226? btw...whats a good source for shock buffer for a sig? cheap? thanks to all.

    Uh..uh..uh..EAA Witness? CZ-75B? Can't argue with the Wolfman about the necessity to balance out the recoil system with a good spring and buffer. Just how necessary is "double action" to you? What about a Star Mod.B?
