They fit in my M1A, however that Aussie surplus is pretty old and the rounds do not slide off the clips very easily at all. If I took the rounds out and lightly oiled the clips they probably work, but I don't bother, just remove the rounds and load them into mags.

    Wizard,

I can get 1 stripper into the mag no problem, but when I try to fill a 20 round mag in the rifle with Four of the 5-round strippers the last 2 are a real pain in the butt to force in. Its simpler for me just to take the rounds off the stripper and load mags by hand. I dont' like having to apply the kind of force that is neccesary to shove the rounds off the stripper into my very clean loaded M1A, what if I slip and put a big ol scrath in my reciever or sumpin *grins*.

They are designed for FAL's using the stripper clip guides that slip over the mags. They work OK for me in metric mags.

Yea, your going to need a stripper clip guide to use them for loading a magazine. They will work in guns like the M1A or Canadian C1A1 that have a guide attached to the reciever.
