Savage Model 101 question

    In the NRA "Firearms Assembly" book, there is a IPB and photo of the Savage 101. No loading gate or threaded holes are shown. The hammer and trigger are mounted on pins rather then screws. There is a small hole directly undeneath the dummy cylinder, this appears to be a "vent" hole that is utilized when the blind hole for the trigger spring plunger is drilled.
