i have this 12 gauge single shot made by hopkins & allen arms co.
it says "forehand" on it i was wondering how old it is and what it maybe worth its in real nice shape.

  Manufactured in the years prior to WW1 I believe. It's likely that if I guessed 1910 I'd be very close.
  
  Always an inexpensive, safe, utility gun. Never a collectors item as we think of it.
  
  My standard answer to the value question is $35.00. You'll see these guns tagged for over $100.00, but they don't sell. Others here will tell you that the value is more like $75.00... I won't argue, but you'll still sit on the gun for a very long time before someone buys it.
  
  So, I'm back to $35.00. A bargain at that price. There will almost certainly be someone who can't turn it down.
