22 I D
My son in law asked me to try and find out about this 22 he was given there are no markings on it except TrailBlazer stamped in the barrel with 22 short or long in it. it is a single shot bolt action after you drop in the cartridge and lock the bolt down you have to manualy cock it buy pulling back the knob on the back of the bolt. any help on this would be great thanks Steve

Are you sure it isn't a rifle that has been altered?

I know which one you're talking about, but I can't find a listing in my books. I think it was made by Stevens if I remember correctly. It has a round pull knob on the back of the bolt, kinda saucer-shaped like the ones on the Nagant rifles?
Love them Beavers

Steve go to http://www.winchestercollector.org/Pages/Features/F4/Cooey.pdf
and see if yours looks like a model 39, also sometimes called trailblazer.
