I use Talley mounts, Burris second choice, Leupold third.

Talley are great, attractive and strong.
I would use the burris signature second,..or warne, or leaupold PRW.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

Weaver can be both a type of monting design, and also a manufacturer.
The weaver style(type) is one of the strongest, simplest ever made.
Weaver by name will be a extruded aluminum base, that is strong but not like the Warne, Burris, or Talley.
So it can depend on the model Vanguard, your wallet, and the "look" you want.
Deluxe model- Warne Premier, Talley (good design off Warne), then Burris Signature. Warne Premier & Talley have style, strength, and their price reflects it.
Synthetic- Strength, and style at a great price I lean towards Warne Maxima(one of the strongest available), Burris Signature. Leupold PRW (cap style made by Warne for Leupold)is another good choice, but I like the Maxima/Premier style-strength (so do most African professional guides). Talley, also is in there, but you'll usually pay more.
Most of my hard hunting rifles are synthetics (don't look pretty anymore), single shot 7mm-08 pistol, and 445 Super Mag used Maxima's.

Burris mounts for me---I HATE Weavers because of the crappy screws-on-one-side design that causes the scope to roll when you're tightening things down. Burris mounts are solid, and tighten down symmetrically, so there's no "roll" issue. 0 -

Warne is far and away the best mount for the $. They use four heavy duty socket screws and have a classy look.
The weavers move the scope when tightening, and the Talley's are expensive because they are machined, whereas the Warne's are made from sintered steel, which is nearly as strong (approx 95% density)of bar stock steel. With Leupold like Burris, you have to depend on only two socket screws to hold the scope. With Warne, the 4 socket head screws compliment each other.

I use Warne's Maxima (weaver style) bases and sometimes rings on just about all my rifles. My 8mmRemMag and my maxed out Siamese 45/70 do not move them. For hard kicking rifles go with steel bases and rings. If I wanted to upgrade from Warne I would go to Talley's products. Personally I think the time honored Leupold/Burris/Redfield system, looks bulky, but it does work well. 0 -

I'm a die hard Weaver fan. Simple and never had a problem with them. The new Grand Slam bases and rings are pretty good also.

Actually the Warne Maxima is as strong or even stronger than most every machined steel ring/base of similar dimensions.
Many connecting rods for car engines are made with sintered technology, and transmission gears.
Warne Premier model are machined, have high quality bluing, but like Talley are expensive. On a rifle in the subject both are over spec'd for the application.
Warne just intr'o a new ring, cap syle the 7.3 series.
Uses the Premier style base (more accurate mounting than a weaver style), looks like the Leupold PRW (Warne makes Leupold' PRW/QRW).
Looks good, and is very, very strong.
Another base I've like for years was sold under the Tasco World class label. LYNX, was in Austrailia now the USA, been very popular in Europe, now owned by B Square.
