My dad has purchased a rossi combo 243/50 and I was wondering. The paperwork says the muzzleloader will use pyrodex powder or pellets and barnes bullets with sabots. My question is this. Can he use 777 pellets and hornady bullets with sabots and not cause any problems? As always thanks for your replies.

  Your Dad can use any type of Blackpowder specifically made for rifle use i.e. 1F, 2F, OR any of the substitute propellants specifically made to replace these Blackpowder granulations.
  If the sabots that the Hornady bullets will be loaded in are specifically made for use in muzzle loading rifles, they will be OK to use in the Rossi.
