Thanks Guy's, that sounds good to me, A friend owns it and I will pay more, so around $350.00 should be all right.
We started dickering on the price a couple of days ago, I started out at $25.00 He started out asking $1200.00 so maybe quite a while before we get togeather on a price, We can drag this out for a year.[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

As long as you guys don't go "bloody knuckles" over this, haggling as half the pleasure of gun ownin', now isn't it?

If it's nice, like new, $350 is a fair price. I have one like he's selling and is an excellent shooter.

There are so many variations on the M-17, that it's difficult to quote an absolute value. Most common are the 6" models, there are a few RARE 4" models, and not rare but less common 8 3/8". There are older models which tend to command higher price, and the newer 9 shot which are worth considerably less. Some have full underlug, most do not. Target trigger, hammer and grips should be cosidered standard, but I've seen some without. Some have recessed chambers and/or pinned bbl. And above all, condition counts. I would value the best of them at $400 or more, while a lesser M-17 will command only $200 or less.
