How do you install a 30r clip ?

Can the lancher be removed?

Cand the bayonet be removed?

  I have one that is proof that a disc grinder can remove all the parts you mentioned.
  It also sports a POS zytel 30-round magazine.(read jamomatic)
  Factory 10-rd. works the best with strippers.IMHO

  Installing a detachable mag would make it an "assault weapon" by ATF regs due to having a total of three "evil features". You can remove the bayo and launcher, but I'd leave it original and get a Norinco to tinker with. To remove the mag on an SKS check to ensure that the gun is UNLOADED, put the safety on (up) and push in (forward) on the little retainer behind the trigger guard. This should allow the triggergroup to come out. Then you should be able to pull the mag up and back to remove. Reinstall the triggergroup by inserting the crosspin on the group in the corresponding slot in the receiver. By pushing the receiver and triggergroup together (may require some effort) you will hear them click together. Then the aftermarket mag can be installed by inserting it (with the bolt locked back) duckbill first into the magwell. Once the duckbill is in the slot in the receiver the mag can be "rolled" into place (similar to Kalashnikov-style mag systems) until the mag catch locks into the mag release. USA mags tend to work best IMHO.
