BAUER HELP

Pick up a Bauer 25 cal auto [ like baby browning]
But the clip is missing.
I thought it would cock and fire single shells.
But it won't COCK .
Is that because the clip is missing or
something else wrong???

  i took one of the BAUER FIREARMS CORP .25 acp pistols out of the display case at the shop, removed the mag, and it would not cock. i inserted the mag, and was able to cock the gun. there is definatly a magazine disconect / saftety device in the gun.
  
  i repeated the test on its twin, and yielded the same results. these are nice guns, and i like the cocking indicators. we had three at one time, but i purchased one for my father as a present. best regards, mike.
