  Welcome to the Forums: The only thing My data base says is....
  HAWES FIREARMS, Van Nuys, California...Manufactured by J.P. Sauer und Sohn, Eckernforde, Germany.....and lists the MARSHALL series of Colt Style Six Guns and one .25acp Automatic and 3 Singleshot Handguns... Nothing about a Fort Sumter, .36 Navy...
  Maybe some one with a bit of 1st hand knowledge will come online and have the information You seek?

  Back in the early 1970's Hawes imported a large number of percussion revolvers and I just happen to have a Hawes listing for these pistols in front of me dated 1973. There were two Navy versions available: A brass frame model ranging in price from $42.95 to $49.95 and a Steel frame model for $48.90 to $90. My listing shows nothing about any sort of comemerative, but something like this could be the case of the range in prices of the pistols from $48.95 to $90, with the $90 examples being special versions of some sort. I am afraid that this is all I can tell you about the Hawes percussion Navy pistols.
