The very first SIG importers in the USA (at least the first that I can remember) were Benet Arms Co., of San Francisco, Casanova's, of Milwaukee, and H.F. Grieder of Knoxville. All three of these firms imported the P210 series of pistols dating back to the late 1960's (my P210-1 cost $250 back then) and Benet Arms was the exclusive distributor of the AMT rifles- I paid $385 for my own AMT way back then. Later on Mandall Shooting Supply of Scottdale and Osbourne's of Michigan began to handle both the P210's, AMT rifles and the PE-57 rifles. I bought my PE-57 from Mandall and I think it cost me $1600 in 1982. The first P220 pistols were imported by Browning as the BDA starting in around 1977, but by 1980 Interarms had become the offical importer for the SIG-Sauer pistols and continued until SIGARMS was formed in the United States and began to import the line themselves. This is the best that I can remember bobski. I should have taken better notes way back when but I was young and foolish and never dreamed I'd forget anything.
