Just bought a S&W 581 4in. from a friend in need of $$. Can anyone give me info on it such as years made and price range? Thanks, Taco

  I just bought a S&W 581 4" blued L frame with normal wear to it. Can anybody give me a price range? I payed $175.00 for it, I know it's worth more than that.Thanks!!!

  It was made in 1985-1986 and 1987-1992. Last suggested retail was around $335.00. Value now is determined by area, demand, etc... Probably around $250.00 would be fair.
