S&G combo lock problem HELP
I have a Sargent&Greenleaf combo problem. It somtimes takes up to 7 attempts to get the lock open. It is 10 years old now. I removed the back and all the springs are working etc. Is there a tension adjustment for the tumblers or perodic maint that needs to be done?
I emailed S&G and they no longer have a server. Business must be good if they can delete customer service.
Any help is appreciated[:(]

A) Sargent & Greenleaf Locks require annual servicing by a certified lock technician to keep warranty in force; and presumably, it isn't a bad idea.
Check lock bolt pressure. Redial complete combo, stopping at "0"; hold at "0" while shaking handle. Proceed to "starting number".
C) Is too much stuff in the safe? Nothing should be hitting the door, interfering with bolt pressure.

Are you starting with at least 7 full spins to the left?
Do you go only one spin after the starting number, or do you use 2?
Finally; are you exactly on the numbers after the start number before you spin again?
Last one, do you jiggle the bolt opener before you start?
If you know it all; you must have been listening.WEAR EAR PROTECTION!0
