Can anyone tell me approximate mfg date of S&W Mdl 29-2, Sn N63088.

  If I'm seeing it correctly, and your S/N does indeed have 5 digits after the 'N', it would be from 1972. If it has 6 digits beginning with '6', it would be 1980.
