How would these guns be for hunting in the woods?
Can you use standard .308 win ammo for it...I will reload for it so should there be any concerns about that?

How strong are the actions?
How would the muzzle blast and recoil be out of that short barrrle and small gun?

  A freind is wanting to sell me this gun.
  I'm lost on most of this military stuff,
  so help me out.Overall condition is Very Good.
  It says:
  No4 MkI *
  LONG BRANCH
  1943
  
  44L7398 (on the"collar"just behind the reciever)
  S126 (on the ring on the very frt.of the forearm)
  The magazine(clip) has two numbers:46739 and 47398
  
  The metal on this thing looks original and in Very Good condition.
  
  The wood looks to have been refinished(a long time ago)
  and is also Very Good.
  
  Neither of us have any idea what it's worth,so maybe
  ya'll can help us out on a fair price.

  Hey, while you're on the subject of Enfields....
  
  I'd like to get me one 'o them long-barrelled ones---unsporterized, of course. How hard is it to find one of those buggers in good shape and not costing an arm and a leg?
  
  If you're wondering what style I'm referring to, think "Breaker Morant". THAT kind of long Enfield. The purty kind!
