Rub-on Gold or Silver , INLAY?

Has anyone used it? Brownell's has something called LACQUER-STIK, You just rub it on, let dry and buff..... SOUNDS TOO EZ [:)]

  i use it all the time. its sorta misleading, for its really a brass copper base substance, not gold gold. you have to be veeeeery careful not to put it in cracks or dings, or it will stick! if you wipe it into a grooved rib or a part of the gun thats hard to get to like where two pieces of metal fit together, or a inspectors proof mark, its gonna be there for a long time! use masking tape to cover areas you dont want to get powdered! when they say not to do more than an inch sq. per application, believe them. it gets harder and harder to erase the excess if you wait any longer! it takes me about a day to do a gun before my eyes cross~! a wood dowel home made eraser works best to take overslop off the engraving. big slops come off with a pencil eraser. if you rub too hard, it comes off and now youre sunk because you gotta start all over! bottom line...it takes tlc and time to use! have fun and think of me when your eyes begin to cross from staring at the engraving! my application will last me one skeet season and then i have to do it over again. its not long term! and if you ever decide to hire an engraver who charges you 3000,00 to do a real gold inlay, thank him and pay him! he does it once and its forever!
