    First two places that I would check are with Tom Forrest (ad in Shotgun News) or Triple K in San Diego. One or both will have them.

    Slider;

    As I recall, Universal only made the 5-rounder. The 15 & 30 rounders offered in their cataloge years ago were new mil surplus. I have never seen an in-line mag for the M1 Carbine other than the 5-rounder...which I recall only actually held four rounds?

    Some GI mags work well, and some don't. I had the best luck with the 15 rounders. I recall taking the followers out of some 30 round mags and putting them into the 15 round mags to lock the bolt back as only the 30 round mags had that capability. But, this was way back when and high-cap mags were...well...dirt cheap!

    Good luck.

    First off; what are the first 4 numbers of the serial number? Once we determine during which era your carbine was constructed, it should be easy to point you in the right direction.
    I have 3 of the little puppies of different year manufacture; but they all work fine with 15 & 30 rounders of any make, I must have a couple dozen milsurp 30's still in wrappers.

    If you know it all; you must have been listening.WEAR EAR PROTECTION!
