Zeroing New Saworski Scope!

Hi guys, Have any of you mounted, and then zeroed a new Saworski scope? 3.5 X 10 power. I recently did this to another customers gun, and again had a hell of a time getting the scope to zero! I moved the adjustments in the direction that the company suggested, and the bullet impact moved about half of what it was supposed to. Then on the second move, it went back the other way, past where it started. That confused me beyond understanding.
So I went the other way with it, and of course it went in the wrong direction, so the third attempt took it to where it should have been ifter the second adjustment.
Is the preload screwing with me, or am I doing something wrog? I have mounted thousands of scopes, and not had anything like this come up in recent memory!
What is your expert opinion?

  mount a known scope and try a test of adjustment. If condition does not repeat,...send scope back. If condition continues,...the mounts and rings are faulty.

  Are you from Oklahoma or Alabama?
  SWAROVSKI is the way it should be written on the scope you are TRYING to read.

  BB, First, for what these guys get for their scopes they should send someone to install them! If you don't get the same (but opposite) results from moving the adjustment screw ccw or cw, things aren't right in Mudville. (I thought you might enjoy that cp!) There should be very little if not zero backlash on the adjustments. If there is, I would talk to the supplier.

  First off, thanks for your input. I finally got the scope to stay zeroed, after a box of shells, and it proved to be very accurate. I did talk to the supplier, and they told me that sometimes you have to take the pre-load out by running the adjustments in both directions, and that proved to be the key to this particular scope.
  
  Sceondly, I had no idea that we were going to be graded on our spelling! My apologies, CPERMD, you must be very bored to take the time to crab at anyone for mis-spelling a word that we usually do not come accross in everyday life. I will try and do better next time. Hopefully you wil be able to come up with some worth while information, instead of a Cubs booster message, and a snipe on spelling.

  If I am going to spend a thousand bucks for a scope, he had better know how to spell the damn thing. Just my redneck onion.Who sells a scope of that magnitude and does not know all the ins and outs of the adjustments?? Tom
