Year my Colt Trooper MKIII was made

I am trying to determine which year my Colt Trooper MKIII was made. it has the serial number 230XXU.

Also, does anyone know where I can get some Pachmayr Gripper Grips for it (or if they make any for it, I had a hard time determining if they did on the web site)>

  Nick, Welcome to the forum. As near as I can tell, you trooper was made in 1973.
  As far as the grips go, I have seen lots of the "Gripper" grips for the Smith's, but not for Colts.
  Pachmayr makes a grip for the Python, but it is not the gripper with the finger grooves.

  According to that Serial Number, Manufactured in 1981. Regarding the Rubber Grips, they were made by Pachmayr for Colt and Packaged in a Colt "Bubble Pak" originally. I think Colt had some sort of "deal" with Pachmayr that kept them from selling them......only Colt had them. Don't think they are made any more.
  
  But the "Big Auction" seems to have them from time to time in the $20 to $25 dollar range if I remember correctly. As a matter of fact, I have a set of New Unused Grippers for the MK III Trooper.....E-Mail Me if you would like to buy them.
