need info on topper sqire shotgun

I have a Topper "Squire" mod 159, 12 gauge 2 and 3/4 full. made by Harrington & Richardson Inc. That is all I know about this gun other than it is old, my grandad's grandad's. I was wondering if anyone knew something about it. It is a really great gun and has taken more then it's share of game, I would like to know something more of it's histoy and value.

  Sorry cannot help you,my 2003 standard firearms book does not list a model 159. Be patient,someone will help you out.

  My Flayderman's doesn't show it,my
  2002 Gun Traders Guide,shows a (single barrel)
  "Golden" Squire Model 159,but it shows
  to have been made 1964-66.
  
  Your "Topper" sounds to be older.
  Is it single or double barrel?

  h&r toppers are numerous. many a game have been taken by them. i knew old timers that could reload them as fast as a pump and still hit the target. boy, do they kick! not very expensive then and not expensive now. i see them go for 40.00 at tag sales if the breech is tight. if its not tight, they dont sell. the family memories are probably worth more than the gun. enjoy it!
