glock 26 reliability
I am considering a glock 26 as the next member of the family.as many of you know im not a real glock fan,but i do believe that in the size of these pistols glock is the best.i want a mini size pistol and right now glock has the market cornered as far as im concerned, however the other day i was talking to a guy that said his glock would not cycle reliably.my problem with glocks has never been function,but rather ergonomics and recoil,but i have never thought of them as unreliable.i shot a friends model 26 and it was the first glock i ever liked and it showed not a hint of a hiccup through appx 175 rnds.my question is have any of you that own a mini glock ever had this problem? any input is welcome and anyone with any other reccomendations welcome also.thanx fellas

I own a Glock 33 which is the sub-compact in .357 SIG. I've never had any sort of feeding problems *or any problems for that matter* and I've put several thousand rounds through it.
I also have the .40 S&W barrel which can be dropped into it if you would like to shoot heavier bullets. It works fine, except that I've found I must load the clip one below maximum capacity for the clip to fit into the gun easily. Personally I prefer the .357 SIG round so I haven't experimented with it much.
Mine is extremely easy to conceal, and can even be worn in a "casual carry" manner at the hip with a paddle holster and an open-shirt with no one the wiser; especially if you tend to wear darker clothing.

Tell that guy to quit limp-wristing that Glock and let the recoil ride on his arm instead of his wrist. That's about the only way I know to make a Glock malfunction.

I have a G26, have shot it for years, haven't had a failure yet. You might need the extended magazine. Grip is much too short for me without it.

I own a G36, slimline .45, with a pierce +1 and it's a good gun. So far it's more accurate than my Kimber TLE (.45-fixed), and I didn't adjust the G36's sights. I've only had feeding problems with my G19, but that was after I changed the barrel and guide rod (duel rod needed adjusting). Not one misfeed with the G36 after approx. 1000 rounds (cleaned after each outing) of all types of ammo (grain & manu.).

I have a 26, and 27 Glock. over 1000 rds in each. NO PROBLEMS! Have been looking at the Glock 30, thats .45 and not much bigger..[8D]

I have a Model 30 and am quite satisfied with it. The only caveat on a Glock is getting one that fits your hand well--something that would be true of any gun. Some of the small guns don't fit mine--usually my pinky overhangs on the bottom and that just won't work for me. If you like the 26 and it shoots well for you, I think you've got a winner.

I have owned a Glock 26 since November of 1995. It has never jammed in well over 3000 rounds of every type of ammo. It is accurate enough for it's intended purpose and fun to shoot. I purchased a Glock 27 just over 4 years ago and have been extremely pleased with it also.

I own a gagle of Glocks including the 26, 19, and the 17. All 3 perform just fine and are accurate for their intended purpose. I have shot thousands of rounds with very little jamming. I found that the shorter flat pointed hollow points dont do well, but FMJ ball always feeds fine.
Your friends problem sounds like bad ammo or limp wristing. Tell him to stay with factory ammo and original "Glock" magazines.
