Aimpoint 5000

Does anyone have any experience with an Aimpoint 5000 2x ? I found
a used one for sale and was wondering if it would be a viable set-up
for an M1A. Any comments appreciated.

  They are the best dot sights.
  Dot is 1 1/2" @100 yds. 3/4" @50 yds. 3/8" @ 25 yds.
  Great for target shooting, hunting, precise shots.
  Some find the dot to small, especially in low light.
  All depends on your intent.

  Guns&Glass... thanks for the reply ! Since I typically shoot at 100 yards the 1.5MOA becomes a good "feature" rather than problem. At least I hope so as it's being shipped as I type and the price seemed good. Thanks for the input !

  If after time, it's not what you eventually like, perhaps we can do a swap, or I'll buy it outright.
  
  Too often people don't give things a good workout over time, and arrive a wrong conclussions.
  
  Some psychologist or psychaitrist wrote/said, "There is no right or wrong opinion, and everyone is entitled to them".
  
  Might I add, "Their entitlement might be true, however their results of wrong opinions can be disasterous".
