airpistol scope on contender

Scopes that are designed for airguns have the threads reversed. The recoil from a spring driven airgun is forward because of the spring movement.
The parts on each type of scope are designed not to loosen from recoil so each type of scope should be used on the type of gun it was designed for.

Won't have any trouble with any quality air rifle scope on any 'powder' gun. Reversed threading is not really used anymore as the internals have been improved on quality scopes.

Air rifle scopes usually have an Adjustable Objective setting as low as 7 yards/meters, and max out at 100-200 yards/meters since most shootin is done at shorter distances.

That's very well with in the shooting range of a 22RF(especially) & 30-30.

    Happy Bullet Holes!
