History of Spang & Wallace?

I recently saw a double barrel percussion shotgun by Spang & Wallace of Philadelphia. Does anyone know the history behind this the Philadelphia gunmaker, Spang & Wallace?

  SATTERLEE & GLUCKMAN's Book of American Gunmakers says that SPANG & WALLACE, were of Philadelphia, Pa.,and were makers of Flintlock rifles..
  V.M. Wallace, was from New York, N.Y., in 1835 was aligned with Spang in a Partnership to build or convert to the new ignition system, known as Percussion.....Nothing further known By this Author.......
