$400-1,500 sounds like a fair range. Condition & originality determine the exact price.

For an all original Remington Rand in above average condition in my area (Houston) would cost you between $800 and $1200. They are getting harder to find every day.

I have one that is original and mint. Three years ago I put it on my table at Dallas Market Hall for $900. It laid there all day and no one bought it. Now I'm glad it didn't sell.

I bought one that was nickle plated for 300.00 I found out there was a bunch that were factory nickled for parade and honor guard use. I never found out for sure if the one I had was one or not but the price for one if it was factory was 2000.00 . so prices for them veri alot

Sorry Mike, but you prove the point: "Buy the gun, not the story."

Any nickle-plated 1911A1 was done by an aftermarket gunsmith; none was ever done by the factory. Current value on a Bubba-ized 1911A1 is in the $200-300 range.
