OK, so I need to know about a bayonet i purchased a while ago, for like 17 dollars, and I just need to know about it..... Things like, where it's from, it's value, and possibly a date or era when it was made or used. A few things the photo's don't show is that on one side of the blade it has only legible letters "TER" that are in an oval (possibly a logo, or manufacturer's mark?), and on the other side it has an "ML" in a oval.... It also has a serial number "GH 647" any help would be appreciated, i did a little bit of research, and could it possibly be made by Terni? I think that is how you spell it... IMG_0005.jpg

$125.00 as discribed.....Yours is known as the VETTERLI-VITALE MODEL OF 1871 this particular model was cut down and used on the later produced Vetterli-Vitale Model M1871/87..The M78 was the same but cut down even further..and some were even used with the M1891....This is why a photo is worth a 1000 words...and in some cases even Dollars..
