Remington 1100 trigger creep

Can anyone tell me if they are aware of or familiar with the trigger creep of the new 1100's (20 ga.)? I have a buddy who just bought one (decked out for NY state deer season...slug-type)and honestly it is awful. The firing sequence goes something like this, "squeeze...creep, squeeze...creep, squeeze...bamm! Honestly it is like you have two warnings before you get it to go off.

I also have an 1100FR/CL and the trigger is nowhere near this level but it is older.

Or does anyone know whether or not a gunsmith can adjust the trigger on such a gun.

  Every Remington that I've owned could be improved with a trigger job, even shotguns. More than likely it'd only cost $20 or so, why not give it a try?

  yes, the triggers can be worked very easily by filing and or cutting the spring. remington puts in the same triggers wether its a slug or scattergun and sets poundage reletively high. i've had mine done, cost 20.00 by local gunsmith. i lowered the poundage on my deer slug gun also. good luck
  ps-if you've never done it, i would not suggest doing this yourself.
