In New York State, the death penalty is applied to those who have thought about looking at a photo of a firearm.

    At least, that's my impression.

    God Bless America and...
    NEVER Forget WACO
    NEVER, EVER Forget 911

According to this website - It looks as if it's even illegal to own a Colt AR15 according to the definition of "Assualt Weapon", section 'D' under misc.

I know it is legal to own a new AR-15. What gives? I can't figure this stuff out.

n.y. is a very liberal state and getting worse. unless it has a string and bow attached to it, its an evil gun. rather than to be quoted, i strongly suggest you contact the local batf or a local gun dealer in n.y., disguise your voice from a telephone booth and ask them whats legal and whats not. i cant figure out the east. they made the best guns in the world, yet they dont allow their citizens to own them.

well are you talking about nyc or in the state of new york...two completely different situations...i live in ny (rochester) and i find the laws here are much better than others...i also had a gun shop for approx. 10 years and know the laws here...you can own ar's ak's handguns ect....there are pistol permits for handguns but it differ's from county to county...your yugo is fine anywhere in the state except for nyc....no folding stock allowed on the yugo in anywhere in the usa... tom

i was in peekskill n.y. and went into a gun shop. gun guy wouldnt let me hold the gun becasue i wasnt a n.y. resident. same went for n.j. i couldnt even buy ammo! it must be by county to county as far as who's strick and whos not. and with 9/11, one can only bet it will be even worse as time goes by.
