AR 15 UPPER QUESTION
Has anyone bought an AR-15 upper from "Model 1 Sales Inc." or heard anything about this company. Their prices are very reasonable and they claim the uppers are made with 100% USA parts.

I have two of there uppers are they are pretty good in my opinion. But i had a problem with the service last time. took awile to get my order out and then they mailed the wrong thing. Sent it back and they was supposed to refund shipping and never did. It will be the last time i order from them. 0 -
I purchased two uppers from them and some other AR parts and everything went fine in my case and their parts were pretty good. J&T Distributing is another outfit I've delt with and had very good experinces with and although their prices are a bit higher I feel the quality of their parts is better than other aftermarket firms.

J&T Distributing is a good company to deal with in my opinion as well. They have been in busines fow quite a while. They are now starting to make complete Ars selling them under the Double Star brand name. They are located within 30 miles of me and I have bought from them for quite a while. They have excellent service and offer a very wide varity of AR styles. If you get a chance check them out as well as their Double Star line of complete AR rifles. The complete rifles begin in the $600 to $700 range. They have any part or accessery that you would ever need as well. I have also bought parts from DPMS and they are a good company for AR parts and uppers. Their shipping time needs to be a bit quicker but other than that a pretty good company.

There have been several posts like this on AR15.com, and most came to the same conlusion as this one; that Model 1 is usually pretty good stuff (they have had problems with small parts being out of spec ie not fitting right, but they have a reputation for really good customer service in fixing those problems). JT isn't that much more expensive, and they seem to be the place most people are getting kits now (even if all you need is an upper, buy the whole kit, sell the stock, and keep the lower parts as extra's. It just makes sense to do it that way when you look at the prices for the parts). I got a JT upper, the finish match was great (bushmaster lower), JT uses Hart barrels (mine was really accurate right out of the box), and the lower parts went in in under an hour (everything fit great). Fit and finish was just really good on the JT, which it isn't on some of the other kits (DO NOT EVEN LOOK AT ASA!). Any unanswered questions go to www.ar15.com 0 -
No problem with Model One here. Got an 16" disapator upper on a bushy lower. Ordered the upper with bolt assy, but was shipped a complete kit less the lower. Ended up costing about $75 more than I had expected, but kept the spare parts anyway.

Let me add one more name into the mix, Adco Firearms. Prices are really good, maybe a hair more than Model 1 though but they sell Rock River at the best rates I've seen short of wholesale. Shipping is a flat rate of $4, $5 if you want extra insurance.
