Some shotguns called "Smithsonian" were made by the Crescent Fire Arms Co. in Norwich, CT. Crescent was a large manufacturer of Hardware Store and Mail Order House shotguns, but no telling whether your gun was made by them from the info supplied.
Is it a single, SxS, pump? Hammerless or exposed hammer? Plain steel or Damascus barrel(s)? Any other writing on it, proofs, etc.? Can you post pictures of it?0 -
