It's a reloaders project. One dandy silouhette(sp) cartridge though.

Are you sure it's not a 357 super mag? Or a 360? If so a 357 super, ammo can be found, kinda hard unless you reload, 360 is reload only. Both are great hunting rounds. Depends if you reload or not, on how much it is worth to you either way. If not I'd say less than $200, if you do reload or want to give your friend what's it's worth 3 to $400 without knowing any more.

    Thanks Al,

1022, It is a .375 super mag. I even checked Dan wessons site, but they dont make this one anymore. Check it out they even make a .414 and a .445 super mag. He showed me one of the shells for it today it is a cut down 30-30 shell to fit the pistol. He had a friend of his making the rounds for him $1.25 each. I talked to him more about price, he is thinking around $750. The new .414 and .445 run around $900. I am still waiting to hear back from Dan Wesson to find out a few more things about it. Oh and yes they also make a .357 super mag.

    cat-mechanic,

I'm glad that you contacted the folks at Dan Wesson. That's what I was going to suggest. I can't locate anything of any value with some short searches except for some listings for Dan Wesson on '***********' and they don't show any .375's at all. The link is below. OOPS! I can't post that link, I'll send it in an e-mail if your address is in your profile. Sorry...

Use your common sense here to decide if you really want this firearm, especially for the $750.00 that is being suggested. Can you put it to good use either for hunting or target shooting (Silhouette), or is it just to help you friend out? I admire the concept of helping friends but you have to be in the position to being able to afford it. This particular revolver requires lots of cartridge work to be able to enjoy it. You might get a kick out of learning to make the cases and reload for it, although you haven't said whether you reload or not. Reloading for a wildcat can be very rewarding for those that enjoy doing it.

See what the people at Dan Wesson have to say, then think it through. I think that $750.00 is a bit high but your buddy may need the money real bad... weigh out your options.

    Best.

A friend of mine at work is in need of some money. He just had a baby, No not him , His wife just had baby. I asked what he was wanting to sell and he shows me this Dan Wesson .375 super magnum 6 shooter. After I wiped the drool I asked what he wanted. He doesn't know what it is worth. I looks in primo condition. but I don't know what it is worth either. I looked through the auctions listed and didn't see anything similar, but I could have missed something. Also he showed me a round of ammo for this thing and it was a cut down 30-30 shell made for the gun. Is ammo for this thing available or does it have to be manufactured? Any info you all have would be appreciated.

The gun is a .375 Super Mag and is quite a hoss. Don't buy if your are afraid of a little recoil. Its like going from a .22 to .44 mag.
Dan Wesson has made quality firearms but doesn't have much resale value. You will have to make ammo from .375 Winchester brass. I hear that Thompson has .375 JDJ for their contenders that offer but I don't know if it will chamber in a revolver. I am not sure if any other brass will work as I got 100 rounds of new brass with my gun when purchased and haven't tried to find any thing else.
