B square mount with extended eye relief scope

I have two swedish mausers; one m-96 near perfect and a m-38 shows wear but shoots great. I'm very interested in installing a no drill mount to one of them. What I need to know is how well this system works and if it is hard to adjust to shooting with an extended eye relief scope.
Also what rifle is it more suited for. The 96 is long barreled staight bolt and the 38 is the cavelry model with a turned down bolt.
My shots would be in the 150 to 200 yard range and my eyes are not what they used to be (50 plus years). I am concerned the range may be excessive seeing that the scopes I've seen are for pistol or shotgun.

  The only dealings I've had with the B'square mounts was not good. I had one on a 22 ruger MKII bull barrel, and even with the minute recoil of the 22 the mount would shift on the gun. The ones for a rifle may be better, just my experience.

  I put one on a shotgun and could not bore site the scope. I would avoid them. Extended eye relief scopes (for rifles mean your eye is a little further away from the scope when you are focused on the target. That is good. Pistol and shotgun scopes are not suitable for rifles.
