3 MOA dot ret. scopes
Who makes a 3moa dot ret scope? Im looking for a regular lenght rifle scope with a 40 or 50 mm obj. price does not matter. I have searched for this in the past with no results any help would be great!!

Why would anyone want such a thing? 3MOA would cover up a entire deers vitals at only 300yd (and the entire deer at 600), not to mention the difficulty of trying to get the rifle zeroed at close range.
But if you insist, contact one of the custom scope guys they will put any reticle you want in your scope. I can just about guarentee that yours will be the only one like it in the world.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -
Having shot match for several years I think I would look at a 3moa before spending that kind of money. That dot is going to cover a lot of target making tight groups all but impossible. 0 -
Personally have used 3MOA dots, AND 1 1/2 MOA dots for years.
Dot at 100 yards = 3"
" " 75 " = 2 1/4"
" " 50 " = 1 1/2"
" " 25 " = 3/4" Great for head shots.
At 200 yds the dot covers only 6". Since kill zone is about 8-9", (use 8" for tighter shots), a 6" dot shot within an 8" kill zone is an good shot to make. Try it on pie plates.
Slug gun on deer.
7mm-08 single shot pistol for deer.
22 Rf for squirrel.
38 Spl for combat.
22 Rf for combat practice.
Most red dot companies won't make one so small due to a patent by Aimpoint on the double refelex rear lens. they're the only one to use for accuracy on longer shots.
Available in 3X. they're again the only one.
Now in a rifle scope, it is best not to have a large dot due to it's placement in the tube, accuracy problems when magnify-increasing power.
