Russian SKS value

A vietnam vet friend of mine brought over his SKS and asked me if I could find out the value on this sks for him it is stamped with the following. Russia sks-45 7.62x39 KBI.Inc HBG.PP RH-612374 S/N OT746 all s/n match on bolt receiver and stock. stock has big star stamped in it the rifle is in good but not great shape has tool kit and oil bottle with the pouch. has a flat blade folding bayonnet. any help would be great thanks Steve

  A photo would help, but without seeing it and going by your description, I would say between 250.00 and 350.00.
  
  His SKS was arsenal refinished and imported by a company in Harrisburg, PA. The RH number is the American serial number assigned to it.

  Or, you can go to the Gunbroker "Completed auctions" page, & do a search on "Russian SKS"; only look at the guns that were actually sold.
