1938 Turk Mauser should be a "large-ring" Mauser with a "small-ring" barrel. The SR/LR actions will vary in length, diameter of the barrel threads, and other design variables. The LR Mausers will also have three locking lugs, two at the front of the bolt and one at the back by the bolthandle. The SR Mauser will only have the two front lugs.

The easiest way to tell is if the bolt has a third locking lug near the rear of the bolt. When the bolt handle is raised straight up you can see it just below and forward of the base of the handle. 0 -
The Turk Mausers are all basically clones of the 98 action, with small differences, like those other fellows said. If you're at all interested in Mauser rifles, a really neat book to get is "Mauser Military Rifles of the World" by Robert Ball. Lots 'o pix, lots 'o history, but not a huge amount of technical specs. 0
