Kimber 1911

just wandering,can anybody tell me annything about kimber 1911's,are they as good as colt,springfield,what's your opinion.

  Just purchased a Kimber Eclipse custom II. Im very impressed with the way it shoots and handles. Thanks for the advice guys. [:D]

  I just bought one of the limited run of 10mm's... A sweet trigger and accurate (though I actually haven't ran it to find my exact group, I am pretty sure it is much more accurate than my Glock 10mm). A great gun! I'd HIGHLY recommend one!
  My only problem is finding Kimber magazines for the 10mm, I haven't found out if the .40's will work or not...

  They are a great pistol, I have a Pro Carry and a full size Kimber Custom and they have performed flawlessly.

  Most everyone who has one likes 'em. I'd compare whatever model you are looking at with those from Springfield Armory before making your decision. These two are pretty much dominating the base to upper end of the commercial 1911s. To do better you need to either customize one of these or order a full custom gun.

  I have two Custom II's and they are good shooters. I feel they need a trip to the custom shop. I didn't have the $ to buy the high end Kimber and I don't have it now either. IMO for $700 or so (CII) it's a bargain.

  MecGar ships direct. The 40's I bought for my 40S&W 1911 style gun work fine.

  Love my Kimbers! I just got a TLE, and what beauty. It's like driving a Mercedes, man is it a smooth running gun.

  I have had a Kimber Gold Match for almost five years. Most accurate pistol I have ever owned or fired. Not a single jam. What else can I say.
