gun for son part-2
After all the help from the last post I have decided on a 25-06. I am down to 2 guns, a Winchester Super Grade or Browning A-bolt Medallion.
$100 difference. Which one?????

The Super Grade I looked at looked awesome. The A Bolt was rather plain. Go with the Winchester and smile every time you clean your gun. You did good on your selection, Congratulations.

I have a good friend that swears by the Ruger 25-06. He coyote hunts with his religiously. He likes it so much he's bought other calibers of Rugers. Taco 0 -
Give the Kid a Choice...Show Him Both and tell Him what you know about of them...and let him Pickout the One he likes...YOU said its was to be His Gun...Let it Be His Choice.......

What is the question?A SUPER GRADE or a what did you say? That is not a question. You know what the answer is.Sorry I am just a little partial to the super grade.Enjoy[8D] 0 -
Something to think about, The Browning does NOT have adjustable trigger, Winchester does and one of the easy ones to adjust. 0 -
I suggest the Ruger #1 if you are not set on a bolt. The cost is relative to a bolt with greater accurracy and finer looks. The single shot design will also teach shot placement. One shot one kill 0 -
Buy the kid a remington 700. That way he can tell his friends he has a real rifle. To me, the post 64's are just scrap metal capable of launching a bullet. And the brownings are overpriced fishing sinkers with pretty wood trim.
Don't run, you will only die tired.0 -
