romainian .22 l.r single shot

besides rechambering what would be required to convert this rifle to .22 winchester mag. the action is long enough and this model has the heavy barrel with mauser type action sn#1956-11xxx.

  My advise is to NOT do it!..The Magnum is a bigger case and Builds more pressures..The Rumanian's designed a Weapon to fire the .22 long Rifle...The Bore is very close in Diameter tolerances, but the Bolt Face will have to be opened to except the Wider Case Head...The Extractor will have to be re-designed also.....The Bolt Face might not have enough thickness to except this conversion..Not worth the Effort...and You destroy a perfectly Good Rifle in the process....

  thank you for your expert opinion . I should have known that it would not be that easy. will leave it as is and enjoy it for what it is. one darn nice rifle for $29.95[:)]
