savage model 110

I am currently looking at a used Savage Model 110 270 with a composite stalk. It looks like it hasent been used much and it also comes with a scope but i dont know what brand. The asking price is $260, would this be a fair buy? Is there anything i need to look out for?

  Anyone know what year manufature of a model 110 with serial number F158485? Were any of the 110's sold with factory installed bi-pods?

  Dont know when it was made but a new one would go around $350 and up so price sounds real good.

  It looks like a good deal. There are many variations on the 110. According to Blue Book of Gun Values, 23rd ed., in 95% condition they range from $145 to $550. Not all models are available in 7-08. The more recent models are available in that caliber. Hope this helps.
