What is the rule of thumb for sellers who have a buyer who wants to return a gun for a refund that they have won?

  Well this is a good question, and i am sure everyone has their own opinion on this subject. If it is strickly buyers remorse, then I would let him return it at his expense, then inspect it to see if it has been tampered with (e.g. fired, parts missing, scratched, etc...) If it has not been messed with and the gun is in great shape (ANIB), then send him a check at 75% of the original selling price minus all fees and SHI charges you may have incurred. If it has been tampered with, offer him a price that you think the gun is worth to you as a used unit that you will be able to make an additinal profit on by reselling it. If on-the-other-hand this is due to item not being as described, then return all his money only after you have had a chance to inspect it to make sure the buyer has not messed with it additionally.
  
  In the future you may want to include a return policy in your listings. Some people believe they are dealing with Walmart on these auctions. By all means keeps up good communications through this ordeal. It is easier for GB admin to see it your way in the end if he decides to post bad comments on you.
